About Me
I grew up in Louisiana, and my own experience with therapy began as a teenager. Having someone listen without judgment helped me put words to feelings I didn’t yet understand and feel less alone in them. That experience stayed with me and inspired me to become a therapist.
I earned my Bachelor of Science with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers), and later completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Since then, I’ve specialized in working with self-esteem, body image, and OCD.
In my work, I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I draw from these approaches to create a supportive, compassionate space where clients can explore what’s underneath their struggles and build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with themselves.
I’m also a board member of the DFW chapter of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals), where I help promote eating disorder awareness, education, and provider connection within the community. I love sharing this passion through public speaking as well, especially with SMU’s Master’s program for Mental Health Counseling, where I talk about understanding and treating eating disorders.
On the weekends when I take my therapist hat off, you’ll catch me grabbing an iced latte from Foxtrot, snuggling with my 6-year-old Chocolate Lab, needlepointing while watching a rerun of Gilmore Girls, and ending the day trying out a new restaurant with my husband and friends.
